Privacy Policy

We're a small bakery, and this app exists to help you order bread and pastry and to save you standing in a line. We collect as little as we can to do that, and we don't sell or share it with anyone for marketing.
What we collect
When you create an account
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give us one
We use these to know whose order is whose, to let you know when it's ready, and to call your name at the counter.
When you turn on notifications
- A push notification token from your phone
This is an anonymous identifier your phone gives us so we can send you a message. It doesn't tell us who you are on its own and we can't use it to track you anywhere else.
When you order or join the queue
- What you ordered and what it cost
- Your place in the pickup queue
If you ask to hear from us
- Whether you've asked for our newsletter, and when
- Which notifications you've asked for — new menus, new events, when your turn comes
All of these are off unless you switch them on, and you can switch them off whenever you like.
What we don't collect
We want to be specific here, because "we value your privacy" means nothing on its own.
- We don't track you. There is no advertising network, no analytics service and no tracking software in this app. Nobody is measuring what you tap.
- We don't know where you are. The app never asks for your location and cannot see it.
- We don't listen to anything. The app plays a sound when your order is ready. It has no ability to record audio and never does.
- We don't store your card details. We never see or hold your card number. If and when card payment is offered in the app, it is handled entirely by Stripe, a payment processor, and your card details go straight to them.
- We don't sell your information. Not to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
The camera
The app asks for camera access for one thing: scanning the QR code on the sign at our counter to join the pickup queue. It reads the code and nothing else. No photo is taken, saved, or sent anywhere.
You can say no. You'll just need to ask us to add you to the queue at the counter, which we're happy to do.
Who else touches your information
We keep this list short on purpose.
- Expo and Google Firebase deliver push notifications to your phone. They handle the notification and your push token, nothing more.
- Square processes payments taken at our counter. That's our till, not this app — Square's own privacy policy covers it.
- Stripe would process card payments if we offer them in the app in future.
That's everyone. We don't share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details while you use the app. Order and queue history is kept so our books balance and so we can look up an order if something goes wrong.
If you want your information deleted, just ask — contact us at the link below and we'll remove your account and personal details. We may need to keep a record of a completed sale for tax purposes, but it won't be tied to your name.
Children
This app is meant for people old enough to buy their own bread. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think we have, please tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If we ever start collecting something meaningfully different, we'll say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
